Hi, I’m Petra, the creative mind behind Wanderwise Webdesign. I’m a Dutch civil engineer turned web designer, with a love for creating websites that feel personal, intentional, and effortlessly beautiful.
Life has taken me from the Netherlands to Italy, Jamaica, and now Portugal. Each place leaving its own mark on how I see the world (and how I design). My work is shaped by that mix of cultures and experiences: fluid, adaptable, and rooted in genuine identity.
As a mum of two who’s built a home in many places, I know what it means to want something that feels grounded – whether that’s your family, your space, or your online presence. That’s the feeling I try to bring into every project I create.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to design and build a website?
The development time of a website depends on a lot of factors. Some websites are finished within a week others take months. It depends on the complexity of the website, the content available and our collaboration. Before we start our project, we will discuss the deadline and our contact moments to discuss the updates.
Do I have to provide my own content?
Yes, you will have to provide your own text and pictures. If needed I can assist you finding all content that you need, but you will have to provide the text, pictures etc.
Can you help me with branding and logo design too?
Yes, I do create logos and help you create an identity for your business. Think about a visual identity, your brand values and vision, assisting you with content that identifies the identity of your company. We will always discuss this together, as it is YOUR company it will ALWAYS reflect your values and mission.
Can I update my website myself after it's finished?
Yes, after the website is finished I will give you a handout or manual that helps you doing your own updates and adjustments. You can also choose a maintenance plan, where I will do the updates for you on a monthly basis.
How many revisions are included?
We will start with setting up the mood board, choosing colors and fonts. We will evaluate this mood board and fonts. We will discuss what pages are needed on your website. After this I will make a design for the Homepage, you can give feedback on it and I will do the adjustments. After designing the Homepage, I will start designing the other pages which you can also review and give feedback on. If needed, we can discuss the process and the moments of feedback.
How much does a website cost?
This all depends on several factors. The size of your website, if I will do branding and create a logo for you, the amount of pages etc. In my services you can find a guideline for the costs, but I prefer to give an overview of the costs after we have had a call or meeting discussing your needs and ideas.
Do you offer payment plans?
The idea when we are starting off with our project, is that you pay 50% at the start of the project and 50% after finalizing the project. If there is any difficulties in paying these amounts or we decide that another type of payment plan is needed, we can always discuss this and see how we can make it work.
What days are you available for meetings or calls?
My normal workdays are from Tuesday to Friday. In the calendar you can find the available slots.
Who will be the owner of the website after it is finished?
After we have finished the project you will be the owner of your website. You will be able to do the updates, but if you choose me to do the maintenance there are different plans for it. You can find more info regarding these maintenance plans here. If you are part of this maintenance plan and your website needs something bigger (i.e. a new page or a new page layout) I will ask an hourly rate of €40,-, but if you are not part of the maintenance plan this hourly rate will be €50,-. We will discuss exactly how this will look like in our meetings, in case of unclarities.
Do you do SEO?
I am not a SEO specialist, I do know some tips and tricks to improve your findability so I can help you with that.
